"The Art OF Experimentation" is the first major solo exhibition by emerging Australian artist Kymberly O'Carroll-Fitzpatrick.  An experiment in colour, materials and her entire creative process, the collection of paintings indicate the exciting direction in which Kymberly's art practice is heading.

Kymberly is currently enjoying experimenting with different ways of appyling paint ot the canvas; bright colour choices, texture, subject matter, image making and materials.  Due to this, her work is constantly evolving and changing, with printing now also being incorporated.

The strong infulences of Lichtenstein, Warhol and other pop artists is evident in her work, especially when it comes to choosing imagery.  Her art practice is inspired by different aspects of 60s and 70s pop culture.  She likes to borrow, appropriate and play with imgaes she discovers.  Kymberly mirrors the style of comic books by using thick black outlines in her work.  Her paintings also have a very cheeky side to them, with their comical undertones and a real need to entertain the viewer.

Kymberly has a Bachelor of Visual Arts.  She has been commissioned by private clients and her work is featured in private collections in Australia, England, Scotland and Ireland.  She has been involved in numerous exhibitions in Australia and England.
